The Institute of Technology of the University of Milan is a private research institution in the city of Milan, Italy.
We’re told that the institute was set up to “educate and foster international research on the arts and sciences.” In fact, they do just that. The institute seems to have a very strong focus on the visual arts, but they are also known to be a very strong proponent of open access publishing. They also do a lot of research and are very active in the Italian tech community.
A lot of people love the idea of the Institute because of the way they have set up their research, but I’m not sure that is enough. It seems like their research is more about making money than it is about solving any real-world problems. If anything, the institute seems to be doing the reverse.
