With the arrival of the autonomous vehicle, the question of “How do I know I need to get out of the car?” is no longer an issue. The advent of automated vehicles is ushering in an age of “self-driving trucks” and “self-driving cars” as well. The technology is certainly on the way, but it is still quite limited.

One of the biggest concerns with autonomous vehicles is that they can put the driver in danger. If one of the autonomous vehicles is following too closely to a driverless car and fails to brake or swerve, then the driver could be in danger. So far, the only way we’re able to detect if a vehicle is autonomous is to look at its driverless car’s radar gun, which can only be seen from the side.

The other issue is that there are still a lot of places that need to be automated. This includes traffic intersections and parking lots, as well as the places that we all tend to park our cars.
